How do I install the 3rd Edition applet on a Nokia mobile telephone:
1. You will need: a PC, a compatible Nokia mobile phone with the operating system S60, a Nokia data cable, Nokia Data Suite software (both normally included with the phone), and applet software.
2. The applet software can be found on our website / Comfort VISION as a ZIP file. Download this file and unzip it using, for example, the Windows shareware WinZip (download from www.winzip.com).
3. Install the driver for the Nokia data cable and the Nokia Data Suite software onto the PC.
4. Switch your Nokia phone on. Connect the Nokia data cable to the phone and the PC.
5. Open Nokia Data Suite on the PC. Select the item “Install Applications”. In the left hand field “My Computer” of the open window and then locate and double-click on the file “BURY_HFCK_S60_3RD_Vxx” in order to start the software transfer to the phone.
6. Alternatively, you can transfer the Applet from the PC to the mobile phone using a Bluetooth Stick and install it there. The software can be saved in differing places in the mobile phone, depending on the Nokia model. These can be the ‘New Messages Inbox‘, the ‘Main Menu’ or the menu item ‘Installations’.
7. Now install the applet by activating it. Follow the instructions on the mobile display. The software is certificated, but you might receive a warning message all the same. If the applet installation is blocked by the security settings on the mobile however, you will need to change the settings. To do this, go into the mobile menu “Tools” and call up “Manager”, “Options” and set the “Software Installation” in “Settings” to “On”.
8. Now activate the applet by calling it up. A message appears that personal data will be send. You have to confirm always this message if you do not deactivate it in the options.
9. You can close and end the applet by pressing the ‘Exit’ function key or the end call key (the red key). Through pressing the Symbian key for a short time, you return to the menu function of your mobile, but the applet remains activated.
10. If you turn off your mobile phone, the applet must be started again before you create a Bluetooth connection. Please take note of this with regard to automatically restored Bluetooth connections.
