Mexican site extension

Data: 7 February 2019

Site extension means doubling the production capacity

As part of extension work on all four company sites, situated in different parts of the world, BURY is enlarging its production and logistic base in Huamantla, Tlaxcala. Mexican site has recently celebrated the completion of the construction work. A new production hall will occupy the area of 1150 m², which will allow doubling the production space. This in turn means increasing the production capacity of the plant, where BURY has run production to meet the needs of global car manufacturers since 2016. In parallel to the above mentioned construction work, extension work on the main warehouse and SMD areas is being conducted. A new incoming quality inspection area will be also created.

Thanks to the extension work, the implementation of the new long-term projects will be possible onsite. At the same time, BURY is responding to the requirements of the new USMCA agreement which, replacing NAFTA, introduces stricter regulations for the automotive industry manufacturers and suppliers. The agreement is forecast to become effective in the year 2020, BURY however is responding to the extension challenges today. The completion of the construction work is foreseen for the second quarter of 2019. BURY is planning to continue extension work on all its sites worldwide this year.

The investment reflects the economic success of the entire BURY Group and of its Mexican site, and confirms the international involvement of BURY as the global automotive industry supplier.
