For the 25th time, the Polish Institute of Industrial Design organized the "Good Design" competition. Within the framework of it, an interdisciplinary jury assessed the quality and design of products and services.
The aim of the competition is to honour products and services that are characterized by high quality of design, as well as to support their producers and distributors. 193 products of a wide range of companies participated in this year's jubilee edition of the competition – next, 119 finalists were selected out of them.
The BURY universal PowerKIT Qi smartphone cradle with wireless charging system and USB port was found among finalists. In the "New technologies" category, the product totally delighted the jury and won the award for a very good design. First of all, the combining of both an advanced technology and a timeless design in one product was a crucial criterion for the jury. These important attributes are the basis of full customer satisfaction and the guarantee of product success. For BURY and especially for all employees of the company who were involved in the project, this award was a confirmation of work and effort put into the project, without which winning it would not have been possible.
The award ceremony took place on October 24, 2018 at the Institute of Industrial Design in Warsaw during a ceremonial jubilee gala. On behalf of the company and the whole project team, the award was collected by Andrzej Bury. Piotr Gliński, the Minister of Culture and National Heritage, presented the award. In his speech, he emphasized once again the importance of and relationship between development and design: „Nowadays, no economic success is possible without the cooperation of various disciplines, such as development and design engineering. In Poland, there is a long and rich tradition of the good industrial design. What we are observing at the moment is the result of this development“.
All products and services that have been awarded will be presented at the Institute of Industrial Design until December 9, 2018.
