BURY continues its successful course also in 2018. Despite the strong dynamics in the automotive market, records were achieved in sales and in the number of employees.
Managing Director Mr. Markus Bochynek describes the balance for the year 2018 in one word - “fantastic”. In 2018 BURY was able to surpass all set targets. BURY achieved double-digit percentage growth of sales in 2018. Both the number of projects acquired and their volumes were further increased. Among other things, a large project worth several hundred millions in the competence area related to the USB interfaces was won. Almost all major German car manufacturers choose BURY as their preferred partner in this product area.
This economic success is reflected in the investments. All sites are currently being expanded. For example, the branch in Mielec (Poland) will be enlarged in several steps and will have 20% more production space at its disposal by 2021. At the same time, the number of employees is also continuously increasing. At present, BURY has over 2,200 employees worldwide. In 2019, this successful development is to be continued. Therefore, BURY continues to rely on digital recruiting and active dialogue at key touchpoints.
The strong dynamics and the change in the automobile market are mainly determined by e-mobility and the further development of autonomous driving. In the course of e-mobility, higher demands are placed on electronic components. The aim is to increase the range of vehicles and reduce the impact on the environment by minimizing power consumption. In this field, BURY brings years of experience and expertise to further optimize existing solutions.
The autonomous driving will radically change, in particular, the interior of a vehicle. The interior transforms from a driver's cabin into an individual living and working environment. This results in entirely new requirements for connectivity, entertainment and usability. In this area, BURY is a partner with an established position in the international automotive industry and provides innovative solutions for the highly complex operating elements, the integration of CE devices, acoustics (such as digital microphones), lighting technology and intelligent plastic surfaces.
In view of these developments, Managing Director Mr. Markus Bochynek sees BURY as well positioned. „If you want to shape the mobility of the future, you need strong partners at your side. As a partner, BURY offers a far-sighted competence profile with innovative solutions. In addition, our entrepreneurial independence allows a high degree of flexibility and freedom of choice. That is why we will be able to continue our steady growth course in 2019.“
