The Cornerstone Has Been Officially Laid in Huamantla. BURY Begins Construction of a New Production Hall in Mexico

Data: 1 June 2026

On May 15, 2026, a cornerstone-laying ceremony for a new 5,000 m² production hall took place at the BURY facility in Huamantla, Tlaxcala, Mexico. This marks an important milestone in the company’s history and another step forward in the implementation of BURY’s growth strategy in the North American market.

The new investment is a response to the dynamic changes taking place in the global automotive industry and the growing importance of the United States and Mexico as key automotive manufacturing hubs. The expansion of the Huamantla facility will enable BURY to respond even more effectively to customer needs across North America and further strengthen its position in one of the world’s most promising markets

During the ceremony, the cornerstone for the new facility was laid by Paweł Markowski, President of the Board, and Julio Flores, Vice President of the Board and Managing Director of the plant. Employees of BURY Tlaxcala also participated in the event, contributing through their daily work and commitment to the company’s continued growth and success.

The construction of the new production hall is driven by several key strategic factors. First and foremost, BURY recognizes the dynamic growth of the North American market and the increasing importance of the United States and Mexico as major production centers for the global automotive industry. Expanding operations in the region will support further cooperation with existing and newly acquired customers, including Scout, Ford, Stellantis, and General Motors.

The investment is also aligned with the global trend toward nearshoring and production localization closer to end markets. By increasing production capacity in Mexico, BURY will be able to shorten supply chains, reduce logistics costs, improve operational flexibility, and strengthen resilience against disruptions affecting global supply networks.

The expansion of the Huamantla facility also represents an important element of the company’s business diversification strategy. In response to stagnation and slower growth in parts of the European market, BURY continues to strengthen its presence in the NAFTA/USMCA region, which offers strong long-term growth potential.

The new production hall is part of a broader strategy aimed at building a comprehensive BURY ecosystem in North America. This includes expanding manufacturing capabilities in Mexico and establishing a sales office and R&D center in Detroit, the global hub of the automotive industry.

Thanks to this investment, BURY will further enhance its ability to develop advanced technologies for modern vehicles, including solutions in electromobility, connectivity, digital cockpit systems, and other technologies supporting the vehicles of the future.

We would like to express our sincere gratitude to all BURY Tlaxcala employees for their daily commitment, professionalism, and contribution to the development of our organization. It is thanks to their dedication and teamwork that ambitious projects such as this can become a reality and help shape the future of BURY around the world.

Congratulations to the entire BURY Tlaxcala team on this important achievement, and we wish you every success in the next stage of the facility’s development in Huamantla.
