Graduation ceremony of the BURY SOFT ACADEMY

Graduation ceremony of the BURY SOFT ACADEMY

Data: 29 May 2023

The BURY company, following the example of the Volkswagen Group, launched an innovative educational initiative for its employees at the beginning of 2022. The offered project of training programmers based on the company’s staff of employees met with great interest. The 40 places prepared by the employer quickly found those willing to improve their skills. It is worth mentioning that the project did not aim only at people with higher education and experience in information technology. The initiative was primarily an opportunity for talented individuals to gain knowledge in embedded systems programming, for whom interest, enthusiasm and belief in their abilities were enough to start their education.

The three-semester study included theoretical and practical classes of about 350 teaching hours. According to the agreement, BURY entrusted the education of their BSA students to the staff of the Center for Practical Training and Teacher Training in Mielec. It is an institution with great traditions and experience in training professional personnel for the needs of the local industry. The realization of the program built together with BURY’s development department is being completed with classes taught by our programmers.

The graduation ceremony took place at the 13th Festival of Science and Technology in Mielec. In addition to those who were present, the President of the Board of BURY Sp. z o.o. Bernadetta Dzik, the Vice President Gabriel Buchała and the Director of the Center for Practical Education and Teacher Training in Mielec Zdzisław Nowakowski, the graduates gathered were addressed by Prof. Robert Stala, PhD, Eng. (Development of Power Electronics and Contemporary Applications. Research and didactics at the Stanislaw Staszic AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow) and Prof. Tadeusz Uhl, PhD, Eng (What’s next after the research is completed?) – the prominent academics of the AGH University of Science and Technology in Krakow.

It is worth noting that this interesting initiative of in-house staff training initiated by the owner of the BURY company, Henryk Bury, is an innovative activity on the scale of the Special Economic Zone in Mielec and has met with significant recognition and interest from the local business entities and national level entities responsible for vocational training.

To all the graduates who participated in the BURY SOFT ACADEMY, we wish you success in your new career paths.
